Holsum® of Puerto Rico operates one of the most advanced baking plants in the industry. The plant is divided into two sections: the first one is where breads and buns are made and the second one is for baking cookies, cakes and other products. The plant is continually been cleaned to satisfy Holsum's high hygiene standards.
The quality control department at Holsum uses one of the most rigorous systems in the industry to ensure that the elaboration processes meet and exceed FDA and OSHA standards. An independent Chicago lab validates the nutritional information of the total production output. The reliability of the Holsum® quality control systems has been rated again and again as excellent by the American Baking Institute (ABI). This certification is seen by the industry as a seal of guarantee. Holsum® invites the ABI evaluators twice a year to inspect operations. The factory has also successfully met and complied with US Navy inspections.
